ITEM # 0021 The Moroccan nimcha is characterized by its distinctive four quillon guard (three forward, one back). While originating in Morocco, its use was more widespread having been adopted throught North Africa. Today, the nimcha continues to be cherished as both a tangible link to Morocco's past and a testament to the enduring craftsmanship of its artisans. This example has a one-piece wooden grip with a traditional guard (three forward, one back). The 30" blade has an unidentified makers mark. The scabbard is leather over wood. 34.5” overall. Good condition. Significant wear to the scabbard leather.
